Athena at age 22 years
Athena is the Arabian grand dam of my Friesian Sporthorse Dixie's Dark Lunar Magic. The magazine EQUUS recently published in the February 2011 issue the story surrounding my search to bring her back home for her golden years. It can be found in the True Tales Section "Finding Athena". The above photo was taken 9 months after I got her back after rescuing her from starvation with the help of a nice young lady.
